Solution for the Marine Industry

Decarbonization is an important topic to mitigate climate change in various industrial sectors in the global scale. Marine and shipping industry is also obliged to lower its carbon footprint in operation and reducing emissions to atmosphere following several rules and regulations by International Marine Organization (IMO). IMO has an ambition to decrease green-house gases (GHGs) by 50% by 2050 compared to 2008with a vision to full decarbonization by the end of 21st century. These regulations have pushed marine operations utilize alternative fuels such as LNG and LPG, Methanol and Ethanol as transition fuels substituting traditional MDO/HFO and carbon neutral fuels such as Biofuel (e.g. Bio LNG) and synthetic methane (SNG) and Carbone free fuels like Ammonia, Hydrogen, as more green solutions to achieve IMO’s long-term targets. However, considering the increasing global fleet size to more than 50% , LNG still seems to be safest and more practical fuel in this path at least for a couple of decades ahead.

Following this trend, Helinor has managed to establish its position as a leading supplier, as marine division of OMB Valves Group. We at Helinor can offer wide range of On-Offs valves, control valves, and pressure safety valves for cryogenic and all marine applications from OMB and other finest makers around the world. This is thanks to our strong and long- standing partnership with our suppliers and strategic agreements with our valuable customers.

We are proudly capable of supplying valves to various types of vessels from LNG powered cruise ships, passenger ferries, Ro-Ro vessels and container ships to large LNG/LPG/LEG carries and bunkering vessels. So far, our valves are in operation inside the largest container ships and cruise ship in the world.
