Desuperheater

Desuperheaters and steam conditioning is one of the important processes in power plants, boilers and heat generations systems where superheated media can adversely affect downstream equipment and products. They reduce temperature of superheated steam or any other vapors by sprinkling water into the media which evaporates thereafter and condition the steam to the desired outlet temperature.

Depending on rangeability and process turndown ratio, Helinor offers three types of desuperheaters from Vogt brand as below:

Desuperheaters with fixed area nozzle in probe and wall mounted configuration (Models VDH-F1 & VDH-F2)
Desuperheaters with variable area nozzles in probe and wall mounted configuration (Models VDH-V1 & VDH-V2)
Integrated type desuperheaters
